Elephant News reported that on March 6, 2026, XPeng Motors held the launch event for the XPeng G6 Super Extended Range in Guangzhou. The new vehicle is a six-in-one all-around AI extended-range SUV, designed to truly meet users’ needs across all scenarios and become a popular national car.

At this launch, XPeng introduced the G6 Super Extended Range 1704 Max, with an official guide price of 186,800 yuan. Customers can choose to upgrade with two smart packages: an additional 12,000 yuan for the Ultra SE version or 20,000 yuan for the Ultra version. From now until March 31 at 24:00, pre-order customers can enjoy a limited-time benefits package worth up to 33,200 yuan, covering purchase subsidies, financing/optional funds, trade-in and repurchase benefits, and delivery gifts, further lowering the threshold for buying.

As a major upgrade in the XPeng G6 series, the new model is not a completely new layout but a deep iteration based on the current model’s market reputation. Data shows that XPeng G6 has gained recognition from over 180,000 owners worldwide. It not only topped the sales chart for Chinese brand mid-size pure electric SUVs priced between 180,000 and 200,000 yuan in 2025 but also became the best-selling new energy vehicle brand in five European countries, making it a popular model with both national appeal and global competitiveness. The super extended-range version centers on “Six-in-One All-Round Excellence in One Step,” leading in six key areas: range, charging, intelligence, chassis, safety, and space. It further exemplifies XPeng’s standards of “technological leadership, durability, safety, and reliability, with constant innovation for everyday use.”

The dual breakthroughs in range and charging are the core competitive advantages of the XPeng G6 Super Extended Range. The vehicle is equipped with a 55.8kWh battery and a 60L fuel tank, achieving a combined CLTC range of 1,704 km and a pure electric CLTC range of 430 km, setting a new global SUV range record and thoroughly solving long-distance travel range anxiety. Additionally, it features ENC+RNC dual-source active noise reduction technology and a super-quiet extended-range generator, creating a seamless extended-range driving experience with significantly improved quietness in extended-range mode. As the only extended-range SUV in the 200,000 yuan class with 800V+5C fast charging across the entire lineup, it can charge from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes, with a maximum charging range of 314 km—fastest in its class. In terms of operating costs, the vehicle consumes 13.9kWh per 100 km under CLTC conditions, costing less than 4 cents per km, and can meet a week’s city commuting in pure electric mode. Under WLTC conditions, it consumes 5.9L of fuel per 100 km, with ultra-long maintenance intervals reducing service frequency by 50%, saving nearly the cost of an iPhone 17 Pro Max annually compared to traditional gasoline vehicles.

Continuous evolution in intelligent experience makes the XPeng G6 Super Extended Range a new benchmark for smart mobility in the 200,000 yuan segment. The vehicle features the world’s first second-generation VLA technology within the 200,000 yuan price range. The Ultra and Ultra SE versions will receive the second-generation VLA update starting in April, and the Max version will also be updated with a distilled version in the second half of the year, maintaining top-tier industry performance. Powered by the highest effective computing power in its class, reaching up to 2250 TOPS, different versions are equipped with 1-3 Turing AI chips to support high-level intelligent assisted driving across all scenarios. The smart cockpit, equipped with Dimensity AIOS 6.0 system, has evolved from passive responses to proactive services, featuring 3D stereo lane-level SR navigation, beyond-visual-range perception, and industry-first upgrades from a language model to a 10B-parameter visual language model, enabling human-like communication and proactive assistance. Since 2023, the G6’s smart cockpit has undergone 29 OTA updates and 287 feature enhancements, continuously improving its intelligent experience.

Hardcore chassis and safety configurations lay a solid foundation for family travel. The XPeng G6 Super Extended Range is equipped with the Tai Chi AI chassis as standard across the lineup, making it the only model in its price range with front double wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension, plus Tai Chi hydraulic bush matrix and intelligent variable damping shock absorbers, offering chassis quality comparable to 600,000 yuan SUVs. Its five AI chassis capabilities enable up to 200 meters of road condition recognition and adjustments up to 300ms in advance, with strong self-learning ability, capable of iterating new features within 21 days to adapt to urban, rural, and highway conditions. In safety, the vehicle uses the only 12,000T front and rear integrated aluminum die-cast body in its class, with consistent core safety features for domestic and overseas versions, earning a five-star C-NCAP rating and a full G rating from C-IASI. The 5C super-fast charging AI battery is the first in its class to pass a 10-round bulletproof test, exceeding new national standards. With 15 active safety features, it offers the strongest safety configuration in its class, preventing over 90,000 potential accidents by 2025. Features like AEB active braking, AES active avoidance supporting speeds up to 130 km/h, and the exclusive 180 km/h high-speed blowout stabilization function ensure safety across all high-speed scenarios.

Optimized space and design make the new vehicle perfectly suited for the full spectrum of young family travel needs. The G6 Super Extended Range boasts an 85.6% best-in-class space utilization rate, with spacious headroom and legroom thanks to its flexible dimensions, and a 635L trunk capacity that easily meets family driving and storage needs. Exterior design features petal-shaped five-spoke wheels and frameless rearview mirrors for a sleek, smooth look, with optional integrated black warrior kits that balance aesthetics and tech appeal. The interior uses eco-friendly materials, with a galaxy-inspired ambient lighting system enhancing the cabin’s quality, a 2.12㎡ starry sky panoramic sunroof providing a wide view, and a 7.1.4 surround sound Xopera audio system with 18 HI-FI speakers delivering an immersive auditory experience.

From a national favorite to a global benchmark, the launch of the XPeng G6 Super Extended Range not only deepens XPeng’s layout in the extended-range market but also embodies its philosophy of “Technology for Everyone.” With six industry-leading strengths, the new model redefines the value standard for 200,000 yuan extended-range SUVs and offers a truly all-scenario mobility solution for young families. In an increasingly competitive new energy vehicle market, the G6 Super Extended Range will further promote technological upgrades and experience innovation in the 200,000 yuan segment.
