Larry Janey says the Supreme Leader was legitimately elected, calls for national unity

Iran’s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, stated today that despite external threats, Iran’s expert council has elected a new Supreme Leader. He called for unity under the leadership of the Supreme Leader to win the war. Larijani said the expert council’s election process is “transparent and legitimate.” Iran needs unity more than ever, and “the new Supreme Leader must govern the country with strong authority during wartime.” (Xinhua)
