The UK will thoroughly investigate Andrew's relationship with Epstein
On February 24th, local time, the UK government agreed to release work documents from when Prince Andrew, Duke of York and brother of King Charles III, served as a trade envoy, to thoroughly investigate his relationship with Epstein. According to previous reports by UK media, Andrew is suspected of providing Epstein with secret documents during his tenure as a trade envoy. On February 19th, Andrew was briefly detained on suspicion of “misconduct in public office.” During a debate in the House of Commons earlier that day, Liberal Democrat leader Edward Davey stated that Andrew’s relationship with Epstein, as well as that of high officials like former UK Ambassador to the US and Business Secretary Peter Mandelson, is a stain on the UK, and only a transparent investigation can clear this stain. Due to ongoing damage to the reputation of the British royal family caused by the scandal, Andrew was stripped of his titles, honors, and privileges last October, and this month he moved out of the royal residence where he had lived for over 20 years.
