Caixin: Driven by the wave of artificial intelligence, the mobile communications industry is re-evaluating the development path of the next-generation network. From 5G-Advanced (5G-A) to 6G, the technological roadmap, business models, and industry ecosystem have become one of the core topics at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC, Barcelona).

Several industry insiders in telecommunications told Caixin during the event that as AI applications rapidly grow, the demand structure of mobile networks is changing. However, 6G is still in the early research stage, and related technological routes, spectrum planning, and business models are still being explored.

GSMA Greater China President Si Han told Caixin that based on the overall atmosphere of this year’s MWC, artificial intelligence remains the most关注 topic, but a more important trend is the deep integration of AI with communication technology. She pointed out that whether it is AI smartphones, robots, or other new terminals, or industrial and transportation applications, the key is to promote the technology to truly land in specific scenarios.
