Kenyan floods have resulted in 42 deaths.

Kenya’s Public Service and Special Projects Department released data indicating that recent floods have caused at least 42 deaths in Kenya. Since March 7, heavy rains have triggered flash floods in multiple regions across the country. As of March 9, police have recorded 42 fatalities, including 26 in the capital, Nairobi. The floods have also submerged many roads, disrupted transportation in several towns, and interfered with daily life. Kenyan President William Ruto stated that he has deployed an emergency rescue team, including soldiers, to coordinate relief efforts. (CCTV News)
