ChatGPT Predicts the Best Cryptos to Buy in January (Hint: SOL and XRP Do Not Make the List)
Bittensor (TAO) TAO enters January in a very different position than it was earlier in 2025. In mid-December, Bittensor completed its first halving, cutting daily issuance in half. For most of the year, high inflation weighed on price. That pressure is now gone. The Bittensor price is trading at $219.70. What makes TAO interesting is that the halving did not break the network. Subnets kept running, staking stayed strong, and rewards continued flowing to miners and validators. At the same time, renewed interest in decentralized compute followed Nvidia’s large AI inference deal with Groq, which brought attention back to alternatives outside centralized data centers. Bittensor (TAO) is still well below its previous highs, but the supply side has changed permanently. January is the first full month where that new structure is in effect. Hyperliquid (HYPE) HYPE is here for one reason: activity. Onchain perpetual trading hit nearly $1 trillion in December, and Hyperliquid processed a meaningful share of that volume. This is not a future roadmap story. Traders are already using the platform at scale. The Hyperliquid price is trading at $25.83. January does bring a known headwind. A small portion of HYPE supply begins unstaking, which could add short-term pressure. The key difference is that Hyperliquid (HYPE) has been here before. Previous unlocks caused brief dips that were absorbed by aggressive fee-driven buybacks. Competition is increasing, but HYPE remains one of the few DeFi tokens where usage, revenue, and buybacks are all visible. That matters more in a quiet month like January than big promises. _Read Also: _****Here’s Why Filecoin (FIL) Might Be One of Crypto’s Most Lopsided Bets Right Now Ondo (ONDO) Ondo sits at the intersection of crypto and traditional finance, and that position is becoming clearer by the week. Tokenized stocks just reached a record market size, and Ondo is building the plumbing behind that growth. The Ondo Price is trading at $0.3772. Recent moves point in one direction. Cross-chain transfers are live. Solana deployment is planned. Regulatory approvals in Europe are already secured. This is less about hype and more about access – making real-world assets usable across chains and platforms. Ondo (ONDO) does carry execution risk, but January often rewards projects aligned with long-term flows rather than short-term speculation. Tokenized equities and ETFs fit that profile. However, TAO, HYPE, and ONDO are not safe picks. They are focused picks. Each enters January with a clear shift underway – supply tightening, real usage, or expanding financial rails. That combination is rare, especially when the broader market is still undecided.
