Just after opening a short position, the price dropped nearly 50 points in one candle. At that moment, I really couldn't find the words to describe how I felt. Watching the account, which was funded with 100U yesterday, almost double in value, I ended up missing this wave of the market. Honestly, it's not just about making more or less profit, but the helplessness throughout the entire trading process — I was staring at the computer, while opportunities brushed past me.

Although I understand the principle of "only taking a sip from the river of a thousand miles," seeing such a great opportunity still hurts too much. Reflecting on it, my current trading strategy definitely has issues. The logic behind chasing shorts needs to be re-evaluated, and the entry criteria and stop-loss mechanisms of the entire trading system need optimization. Sometimes, losses aren't because of insufficient capital, but because the system itself isn't yet perfect. This lesson was very profound, and I need to adjust my mindset carefully.

That's why I say you shouldn't watch the market too closely, as it can lead to reckless moves... If you break even, you break even. A 50-point move is really nothing; the next opportunity will be even bigger. The fundamental issue is the system's imperfection. I was also caught in this trap. Now, following the rules strictly makes a big difference. Futures trading can't be rushed. Maintaining the right mindset is more important than anything else.

Haha, this is the crypto world—opportunities and missed chances are just one candlestick apart. Missing 50 points is truly despairing, but system optimization is the right way. A flat position means a loss; you need to rethink your entry logic. It seems I need to review my trading discipline. Opportunities won't come only once; the key is to seize the next one.

well *actually* if you'd bothered to backtest your entry logic against formal verification methods, you'd have caught this. but yeah sure, blame the 50 points instead of your broken risk model lol

Damn, missing 50 points directly—how strong must your mentality be to calm down? It's okay to settle now; reviewing strategies later is more useful than regretting. Doubling 100U is indeed tempting, but let's just consider this wave as tuition. When the system is imperfect, it needs to be improved. Don't always think about going all-in; stability is the key. That's why some say trading is difficult—it's really not about lacking capital. People tend to be greedy; just looking at the numbers makes them want to shoot up, but they end up missing out. Reflection is crucial, but don't get stuck in it—placing the next order is more important.
