When it comes to the development of DEX, platform tokens are truly a key role that cannot be ignored.

Platform tokens and VC tokens may look similar, but they are fundamentally different. VC tokens are often a wave — they surge and then are done, with no follow-up. But platform tokens are different; they run through the entire ecosystem evolution process and are important assets for the platform's long-term development.

Think about what would happen if the platform token underperforms. The platform ecosystem would collapse along with it. Without a wealth effect, platform tokens cannot attract user participation, and the platform's popularity will inevitably decline. More importantly, without continuous ecosystem support, the platform token also loses its value foundation. All three conditions are indispensable.

Taking LIT as an example, as the core asset of a leading DEX, it carries the expectations of the entire ecosystem. Currently, it is not recommended to short such platform tokens because the long-term ecosystem construction of the platform is the key to determining its value.

Platform tokens are the lifeblood of the ecosystem, and that's no lie. VC tokens can be cut and run, but platform tokens have to ride the waves together—can they be the same?

I agree with the distinction between platform tokens and VC tokens, but honestly, anyone still daring to short platform tokens must have a very clear mind.

Platform tokens are indeed different; a good ecosystem is the key, and VC tokens are just tools for harvesting retail investors.

Platform tokens are the lifeblood of the ecosystem, and there's no fault in that logic, but in practice, it still depends on whether the management team is reliable. LIT is under quite a bit of pressure now; it remains to be seen if the subsequent ecosystem iterations can keep up. VC tokens die after speculation, but platform tokens are the key to long-term vitality. This is especially true in a bull market, and a different story in a bear market. It's a good point, but there have also been many cases of platform tokens collapsing, so no one can guarantee it will definitely work. Ecosystem development is indeed fundamental; without it, everything else is pointless. Shorting platform tokens is indeed risky, but blindly going all-in isn't the answer either. These three conditions are indispensable; currently, all major DEXs are competing to see who can fulfill all three.
