Using a continuous blood glucose monitor for a period of time, the feeling of having real-time access to body data is indeed great. However, the closed nature of the ecosystem is quite frustrating.

It would be perfect if manufacturers were willing to open up APIs. Imagine—setting up a cron job to automatically push data to Feishu, Gmail, or Telegram every day, then triggering an automatic analysis engine. Combining your dietary records and exercise data, the system automatically generates a personalized health report.

This is actually the core of data sovereignty: users control their own health data, fully unlocking its value through open APIs and automation toolchains. Don't let data sit idle on a closed platform. Once interfaces are open, the ecosystem can truly thrive—third-party developers can integrate, various applications can be combined, and user experience will grow exponentially. This is the future direction of IoT and Web3 integration.

A closed ecosystem is really disgusting; the data should belong to the users, not the vendors.

A closed ecosystem is really outrageous; all the data is in their hands, and you're still complaining?

honestly this is exactly why healthcare IoT will never go mainstream without decentralized data layer... proprietary APIs are just walled gardens with extra steps

A closed ecosystem is really annoying; data should belong to oneself.

Closed platforms are really annoying; data feels like it's locked inside a vault.
