What is Tip Coin?

A one-sentence summary of how Tip Coin works: you only need to @tipcoineth and add the $tip tag when creating, sharing, or commenting on content to earn points based on views, likes, replies, shares, quotes, and retweets. The activity consists of 3 epochs, and the points earned in each epoch can ultimately be exchanged for $TIP tokens and sent to your wallet.

So how exactly do you play Tip Coin? It’s actually very simple:

First, you need to visit the official Tip Coin website and click on LOGIN TO CLAIM in the top right corner, which will prompt you to link your Twitter/X account.

Next, following the instructions, post a verification tweet containing $tip @tipcoineth and retweet the official tweet. Once done, your account will be verified! After successful verification, you will immediately receive 10,000 points.

Then, you can start your points-earning journey! Taking Epoch 2 as an example, there are four ways to earn points:

Original Tweet: Post an original tweet containing @tipcoineth and $tip to earn an initial 10,000 points, then multiply your points by 30x based on views, likes, replies, shares, and quotes. A single tweet can earn up to 18,000,000 points, with a maximum of five posts per day per account.

Tipped Quote: Quote someone else’s tweet and mention $tip to earn points, with a 10x multiplier. Each account can have up to 10 such posts per day. A single quote can earn up to 1,000,000 points.

Tipped Reply: Reply to someone else’s tweet including $tip to earn points. However, points earned this way are lower, with only a 1x multiplier. The good news is that replying to high-view tweets can immediately earn you 25,000 points, and you can do this up to 15 times per day.

Replied Kickbacks: Receiving replies from others can also earn you points, but at a reduced rate of 1/10x, with no daily limit.

Additionally, the Tip Coin official website provides a handy points calculator, allowing you to adjust parameters to see how many points you can earn.

The process then repeats daily. Each epoch lasts seven days, and at the end of each epoch, a statistical phase begins to calculate how many $TIP tokens you can earn during that cycle.

Can you make a quick profit with Tip Coin?

Tip Coin was officially launched on September 1st. Due to its very low participation threshold, it attracted a lot of attention right after launch. By the 18th, over 170,000 users had followed its official account, demonstrating significant influence. On September 13th, Tip Coin officially announced the distribution of $TIP tokens. From the tokenomics, it’s clear that Tip Coin allocates 40% of $TIP for rewarding participating users, showing the project team’s sincerity.

Now, returning to the original question: can you make a profit with Tip Coin? The answer is yes, but only small gains for ordinary players!

From the rules above, it’s not hard to see that for an average Twitter user, without any retweets or comments, the maximum daily points they can theoretically earn are:

Original Tweet: 10,000 * 5 = 50,000

Tipped Reply: 25,000 * 15 = 375,000

Total: 425,000

It’s worth noting that although each epoch nominally lasts seven days, due to the system needing time to process results and deploy the next epoch, only about five days are truly available for earning points. Under this assumption, the total points that can be earned are approximately 425,000 * 5 = 2,125,000. But how much is that worth?

Taking a laid-back participant as an example (actually me), since I joined late and was unfamiliar with the rules, I only earned 1,102,893 points in Epoch 1, which ultimately converted to 47,412 $TIP. Currently, the price of $TIP is about $0.0004, so in Epoch 1 I earned nearly $20. Based on this, you can roughly estimate how many $TIP your points can be exchanged for.

For KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders), the potential is even greater. Thanks to their large follower base, they can easily earn billions or even hundreds of billions of points, thus obtaining a substantial amount of $TIP tokens. For example, in Epoch 1, the top player @Smartecio earned over 20 million $TIP, worth about 5 $ETH. The tenth-ranked player @Supers6061 received rewards worth 3.17 $ETH tokens. In summary, Tip Coin is another carnival for KOLs, and most players can also get a share. But I want to say that as a zero-threshold project for earning profits, it doesn’t require much effort, and the returns are already quite generous for the industry.

What about the future development of Tip Coin?

It must be admitted that Tip Coin is a bold attempt. It briefly revitalized the crypto community, which had been subdued by the bear market. However, there are still some issues with Tip Coin itself.

From the project perspective, since Tip Coin only launched in early September, its technical architecture is not yet fully mature. Many users have reported that they completed tasks but did not see their points increase, and some accounts were even flagged as bots due to high-frequency point farming, resulting in poor user experience.
