Nordex Expands European Portfolio With 102 MW Wind Energy Deployment Across France And Belgium
Nordex SE has bolstered its market presence in Western Europe with a significant new contract intake spanning two key markets. The German turbine manufacturer announced orders totaling 102 megawatts of capacity, encompassing 28 wind turbines designated for deployment across seven separate wind farm projects in France and Belgium through 2026 and 2027.
France Operations: 77 MW Capacity Build-Out
The French portion of the agreement accounts for 77 MW of the total order book, with installations planned across three regional zones—Pays de la Loire, Normandie, and Grand Est. Project deployment reflects a diversified turbine strategy: one wind farm will operate five units of the N131/3000 model, while a second site incorporates eight N117/3675 turbines. A third French project adds four N149/4.X units to the operational fleet, showcasing Nordex’s range of mid-to-large capacity machines optimized for varying wind resource conditions.
Belgian Expansion: 25 MW Allocation
Belgium’s allocation totals 25 MW across two distinct project locations in the Ardennes and Wallonia regions. One facility will deploy three N131/3600 turbines, while two additional farms will each install four N117/3675 units. The selection of these proven turbine models underscores customer confidence in Nordex’s technology platform for European wind resource profiles.
Service Integration
Beyond hardware supply, each contract package includes multi-year service and maintenance agreements, securing long-term revenue streams beyond initial installation phases. The projects represent Nordex’s continued penetration of the French and Belgian wind markets, where renewable energy infrastructure investment remains robust through the mid-2020s.
