This morning, a somewhat significant incident occurred—the Trust Wallet browser extension had a security vulnerability. According to an official emergency announcement, version 2.68 has obvious security risks. Users of this version need to act quickly: immediately disable the extension and upgrade to version 2.69 through the official Chrome Web Store channel.
It may sound like no big deal, but data from on-chain detective ZachXBT highlights the severity of the issue—this vulnerability led to the direct theft of funds from hundreds of users, with total losses reaching at least $6 million. This is not a small amount.
After the incident was exposed, the owner of a major exchange also stepped forward to sound the alarm, emphasizing that users must strictly follow the official security guidelines. It’s best not to delay—take action now to protect your assets.
So, if you are still using this version, now is the time to act—don’t wait, don’t take chances. Disable the extension and upgrade; that’s the proper course of action.
