Aster Chain Testnet went live on December 24, 2025, with the platform announcing that it has selected 1,000 users out of 360,000 applications to participate in testing the practice version of the Aster blockchain.

The DEX platform received more than 360,000 applications and selected only 1,000 users, who are being called the ‘Vanguards.’ These users were chosen to be the first to test and experience the Aster testnet. The Vanguards are early users who help test features, spot problems, and provide feedback during this testing phase. To maintain network stability, Aster limited the number of participants.
