First of all, it's easy to characterize this situation: if it were carried out by professional kidnappers, especially those who had meticulously planned it, there's no way they would have let him go after just 4.5 hours. So, the credibility of his long post is not high—at the very least, it's not entirely accurate.
Then, considering his influencer status and net worth, it's unlikely that he would completely fabricate an utterly baseless story—in other words, it's impossible for him to purely make something up just to attract attention.
So, the whole thing is actually based on a certain factual foundation, with subjective embellishment.
All in all, the most likely scenario is that he fell victim to a honey trap and extortion.
What's more, he was lucky that those three professional honey trap operators were not the kind of kidnappers who are willing to risk everything for money. They were just in it for the quick gain and called it a day.
He probably won't disclose the name of the "five-star hotel" he stayed at or the details of his communication with the embassy.
As for why, I won't elaborate further.
