Don't remind me again today

GPT-5.1's safety constraints feel unnecessarily restrictive right now. The behavior patterns suggest these limitations might not be entirely embedded in the model weights—there could be external filtering layers at play. If that's the case, the engineering team should be able to isolate and refine these mechanisms. The current implementation creates a disjointed user experience that undermines the model's actual capabilities. A more nuanced approach to safety would serve everyone better.

Bro, this trap filter layer is indeed a bit of a pump, it feels like a forced shackle.

The term "external filtering layer"... feels like just an excuse to bypass the security mechanism, quite interesting.

Well, it's this trap of rhetoric again. Every time a new model comes out, there are always people complaining about too many restrictions 🙄
