Testnet farming culture has become a serious problem that nobody wants to admit. The harsh reality? Somewhere between 50-99% of participants are just hopium-fueled speculators gaming the system. Can't really blame the early pioneers though—they simply didn't have better frameworks for organic user acquisition back then.

But here's the thing: this legacy is poisoning new launches. Projects like Monad are walking into a minefield. No matter how solid the tech is, when your user base is predominantly airdrop hunters rather than genuine ecosystem builders, you're essentially building on quicksand. The incentive misalignment runs too deep. Honestly think it's gonna be a major stumbling block for their launch, maybe even fatal. We need to fundamentally rethink how crypto projects bootstrap communities, or we'll keep repeating the same mistakes.
