The U.S. government "shutdown" continues as the Senate rejects the temporary funding bill for the tenth time.

On October 17, local time October 16, the U.S. Senate once again failed to advance the Republican temporary funding bill with a vote result of 51 to 45. It is reported that the Republicans need 60 votes to advance this bill, which would fund the government until the end of November. This marks the 10th consecutive vote in the Senate to defeat the temporary funding bill in the past two weeks since the U.S. government shutdown. (Jin10)
