What is Alchemy Pay (ACH)
Alchemy Pay (ACH) is this crypto payment protocol that links traditional fiat systems with cryptocurrency networks. Born in 2017. It makes switching between regular currencies and crypto pretty smooth for businesses and regular folks alike.
How does it Work
ACH exists as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. Its goal? Connecting old-school finance with crypto stuff. Making each world accessible to the other.
The system works like this:
Merchants buy and pledge ACH tokens. The amount depends on their size and expected transactions.
These tokens act as security. Do something shady? Lose your tokens. Cancel a transaction? You get them back.
It's fast and cheap. Like, 70% cheaper than typical credit card fees. Settlement takes just a day or two.
They use Chainlink's Price Feed Oracle. Seems important for keeping conversion rates accurate.
Current Price of Alchemy Pay Token (ACH)
ACH is kind of a dual-purpose token. Governance and utility rolled into one. You can pledge it, collect it, or pay fees with it.
By September 2025, Alchemy Pay grew a lot. Over 150 core nodes now. Not entirely clear how big that is in context, but sounds impressive. The system now works in 173 countries, connecting with Visa, Mastercard, mobile wallets, and local bank transfers.
Expanding Capabilities
Alchemy Pay isn't just payments anymore. It's gateways. It's on-ramps. It's off-ramps. Even handles NFT checkouts with regular money.
The whole thing is open-source. Alchemy GPS maintains it. They launched the token back in September 2019. Pretty young still. They've somehow positioned themselves as leaders in hybrid payment systems. Fast. Secure. Convenient. That's their thing.
