In today's rapidly growing short video industry, creators face a serious challenge: how to protect their original content from being plagiarized. Recently, the experience of a gaming strategy short video creator has garnered widespread attention. After his videos became popular on multiple platforms, they were edited, watermarks removed, and played on other applications for a fee. This behavior not only infringes on the rights of the original creators but also brings significant difficulties to the protection of their rights.

In the face of this issue, some innovative companies are exploring the use of Web3 technology to build a fairer and more transparent content ecosystem. They have proposed a set of solutions that include 'copyright protection' and 'automatic revenue sharing', aimed at fundamentally changing the current situation of 'easy piracy, difficult rights protection, and low returns'.

The core of this system includes three key components:

First is the content NFT rights confirmation and tracking. When creators upload content, the system automatically generates an NFT that includes the content hash, creation time, and creator information, which is recorded on the blockchain. This not only provides an immutable proof of the content but also allows for the quick identification and location of pirated content through the network-wide content monitoring system, greatly reducing the time required for evidence collection.

Secondly, there are decentralized copyright distribution contracts. Creators can pre-set distribution rules in the NFT contract, such as the revenue sharing ratio for platform playback and secondary authorizations. In this way, when content is disseminated across various platforms, the related revenues can be automatically transferred to the creator's wallet according to the preset rules, without the cumbersome manual reconciliation process.

Finally, there is the secondary licensing market for content. This feature allows creators to list the secondary usage rights of their content (such as for game promotion or allowing others to adapt it) in specific markets. Interested organizations or individuals can purchase licenses through smart contracts, which will automatically execute the payment of licensing fees and manage the duration of use, effectively preventing unauthorized use or adaptation.

This Web3 technology-based solution not only effectively protects the rights of creators but also inspires their creative enthusiasm. It provides a fairer and more transparent ecological environment for the content industry, promising to fundamentally change the challenges faced by current content creators. With the continuous development and improvement of such technologies, we have reason to expect the arrival of a more prosperous and healthy short video creation ecosystem.
