Wang Guowei said that there are three realms in life and academic pursuit (not detailed here, as everyone knows), summed up in one phrase: "Establishing", "Keeping", "Gaining". I believe that learning to trade cryptocurrencies is the same.

Stage One - Establishment: Learning to establish oneself in the crypto world. I remember when I first entered the crypto space, I was completely lost and overwhelmed; everything was new and complex. At that time, there weren't many coins, but the news had a significant impact on the market. Soon, all the profits I accumulated from the early benefits were wiped out. So I began to learn candlestick charting techniques, how to scientifically check foreign news on the Bitcointalk forum, chat with various people, participate in offline gatherings, and network. Gradually, I also understood the principles of blockchain, what hash 256 is, and what anonymous algorithms are. Later on, as more projects emerged, each with white papers, I started checking white papers on external sites and conducting project research.

Stage Two -- Holding: Learn to protect your principal. After having a certain basic knowledge reserve, I started investing again. According to my knowledge, I found opportunities everywhere, and my own principal simply wasn't enough. I wanted to invest in everything I saw and started using high leverage, which quickly led to significant losses. I began to understand that the primary goal of trading cryptocurrencies is not to achieve high returns, but to first protect the principal. Reducing risk is the top priority; only with the principal intact can I have the confidence to participate when good opportunities arise. To reduce risk, the best method is to trade cryptocurrencies in a relaxed manner, buying on dips, reducing the frequency of trades, controlling leverage ratios, and also looking for risk-free profit methods, such as futures/spot arbitrage, earning funding rates, and participating in platform reward activities.

Stage Three -- Gains: Learn to face gains and losses correctly. After learning to control risks, I made some profits, but then I found that my mindset became a hindrance. After making profits, I always wanted to open another order immediately to chase the victory, and after incurring losses, I always wanted to recover quickly, which ultimately led to more emotional turmoil and greater losses. After careful reflection, I realized that trading cryptocurrencies is not just an action, but a mindset; do not be arrogant in victory and do not be discouraged in defeat, calmly watching the clouds roll by in the sky.
