Ondo Becomes Top Gainer This Afternoon After Launching Stock-ETF Tokenization
Ondo (ONDO), the original token of Ondo Finance, has successfully become the top gainer today after surging more than 7% to US$0.9666, Wednesday (03/09).
The achievement comes after the company plans to launch more than 100 stocks and (ETF) that are tokenized on-chain.
The tokenization of stocks was released in conjunction with changes to crypto regulations in the United States and the efforts of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to unify the licensing of traditional financial products and crypto.
Previously, Ondo has offered tokenization products for US government bonds and money market funds that allow institutional investors to instantly exchange stablecoins.
The total value of tokenized US Treasuries has now surpassed US$7 billion, with Ondo contributing over US$1 billion on the Ethereum network, which also reaffirms Ethereum's role as the foundation of the on-chain capital market.
This step reflects a significant push for the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA), backed by the SEC's commitment to unify the trading of traditional and digital financial assets under one licensing system.
