As the Crypto Assets market is experiencing turbulence, a crucial struggle is quietly unfolding in the stablecoin sector. Recently, blockchain security company CertiK released the "2025 Stablecoin Security Report," utilizing its Skynet scoring system to evaluate the most trustworthy stablecoins from multiple dimensions including operational resilience, governance mechanisms, code security, and market trust. This report not only pertains to technical strength but also directly impacts the value preservation capability of investors' assets.
According to the report, USDT (Tether) ranks first with a high score of 94.72. Despite ongoing controversies, USDT has successfully maintained market confidence, with its supply increasing from $138 billion to $154 billion in the first half of the year, making it one of the safest choices.
Following closely is USDC (Circle), rated at 93.37. As a representative of MiCA compliance, USDC completed its IPO, with supply soaring from $41 billion to $61 billion, and is hailed by CertiK as the "fastest-growing stablecoin."
The third place is PYUSD (a collaboration between PayPal and Paxos), with a score of 91.47. Its market value doubled in the first half of the year and expanded to the Solana and Arbitrum networks, while also launching attractive incentive programs for users. This shows the ambition of traditional payment giants in the digital asset field.
It is worth noting that the former DAI stablecoin has re-entered the top four with its new identity as USDS after being re-engineered by Skynet. This change reflects the dynamism and innovation of the stablecoin market.
The competition among stablecoins is not only about technological innovation but also a fundamental struggle within the digital financial ecosystem. As the regulatory environment continues to evolve and user demands escalate, stablecoin providers are striving to balance security, compliance, and user experience. In the future, those who can stand out in this contest will greatly influence the development direction of the entire Crypto Assets market.
