Jin10 Data reported on May 8 that foreign media, after reviewing publicly available government documents and satellite images, found that Russia is carrying out large-scale factory expansions in remote Siberia to increase the production of a powerful explosive, which is used in shells and other munitions in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Moscow has more shells than Ukraine, which has played a significant role in Russia's battlefield victories during the conflict, where both sides primarily use artillery and drones for confrontation. Three defense analysts stated that as Ukraine and its Western allies ramp up weapon production, Russia's projects are expected to increase explosive production, potentially significantly enhancing Moscow's firepower.
