The eagerly awaited Fusaka hard fork upgrade of the Ethereum (ETH) network will be carried out in the third or fourth quarter of 2025, but the controversial EVM Object Format (EOF) update will not be included in this package.

Tomasz Kajetan Stańczak, one of the co-managers of the Ethereum Foundation, recently announced that the targeted date for the important update of the Ethereum network, the Fusaka hard fork, is planned for the third or fourth quarter of this year. Although the exact date has not been finalized, it has been stated that the EVM Object Format (EOF) update, one of the most critical parts of the upgrade, has been excluded from the package due to technical uncertainties.
Ethereum core developer Tim Beiko stated that EOF was removed from the Fusaka upgrade, citing technical risks and the possibility of delaying the upgrade. EOF (EIP) includes a set of Ethereum Improvement Proposals designed for the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and aimed at making smart contracts run more efficiently. By standardizing smart contract codes called bytecode, EOF promised to process contracts more securely and quickly. #HotTopicDiscussion#
