Wu said that according to mempool data, miners who used P2PK scripts in the early days transferred 200 BTC to a new address after holding it for up to 12 years: bc1q68... F5JPZF, which was worth only about $7,140 at the time, is now worth $18.64 million. Previously, Emin Gün Sirer, founder of Ava Labs, believed that Bitcoin's early public key format, P2PK, was at risk of being compromised by quantum computing.
