According to Deep Tide TechFlow news on April 12, Reuters reported that venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (A16z) is in talks to lead a new round of financing for the artificial intelligence startup Thinking Machines Lab, founded by former OpenAI Chief Technology Officer Mira Murati. According to insiders, this round of financing may reach $2 billion, and the company is expected to be valued at $10 billion. Sequoia Capital is also discussing participation in this round of financing.

Thinking Machines Lab was established in February 2025 and is dedicated to developing safer and more reliable artificial intelligence systems. The company currently has about 30 researchers and engineers, two-thirds of whom are former OpenAI employees. Notably, former OpenAI Chief Research Officer Bob McGrew and former Chief Researcher Alec Radford both serve as advisors to the company.
