The Sky community has initiated a proposal vote on "Charging latency penalties for upgrading MKR to SKY."

PANews, September 19 news, Sky (formerly MakerDAO) announced on the X platform that voting has begun on the proposal “MKR upgrade to SKY implementation delay upgrade penalty.” As part of the ongoing MKR to SKY upgrade process, Sky Atlas specifies that the administrative vote on September 18, 2025, sets the delay upgrade penalty for the new MKR to SKY conversion contract at 1%. If this vote is passed, starting from September 22, 2025, all operations upgrading MKR to SKY will be subject to a 1% upgrade penalty. Thereafter, the delay upgrade penalty will gradually increase at a rate of 1% every three months.
