Kalshi encryption executives and others have initiated the HIP 4 proposal in the Hyperliquid community, suggesting the introduction of event Perptual Futures.
Foresight News reports that Kalshi's encryption head John Wang and others have initiated the HIP 4 proposal in the Hyperliquid community, which suggests the introduction of "Event Perpetuals," a practical design for launching prediction markets deployed by builders on the blockchain. Unlike traditional Perptual Futures, Event Perpetuals do not have ongoing Oracle Machine or funding costs; prices are determined entirely by trading activity. Prices reflect the binary probability of an event occurring. A single resolution Oracle Machine update will set the market to 0 or 1 at the end of the event, resulting in trading suspension and Settlement of positions.
