Circle, the USDC issuer, announced the launch of Paymaster, which supports users to pay transaction fees in USDC on Arbitrum and Base without holding the native token ETH. Paymaster currently waives 10% fees, which will last until June 30th, and plans to expand to Ethereum, Polygon POS, and Solana in the future. Circle stated that the service directly processes on-chain validators’ fees through a proxy payment mechanism, potentially streamlining cross-chain operations.(CoinDesk)
