Tether launches open-source Wallet Development Kit for iOS & Android

Tether's CEO, Paolo Ardoino, announced that Tether will launch the Wallet Development Kit (WDK) completely open-source this week. The WDK includes starter wallets for iOS and Android, making it easy for developers to build and customize wallets. This toolkit fully supports non-custodial, allowing users complete control over their assets.

WDK also provides many mnemonic backup options for safe recovery and integrates a comprehensive DeFi module. This module supports Tether's stablecoins such as USDT and USDT0, while allowing functions such as lending, swapping, and other decentralized financial activities.

Earlier, Paolo introduced the demo and overview of the WDK sample wallet, showcasing its ease of use and advanced features aimed at improving security, flexibility, and accessibility for both developers and users in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
