Slow Fog Warning: DeFi platform Credix has been attacked by a Hacker! Cyvers Alerts: Multiple suspicious transactions detected in Sonic.
Crypto Circle (120btc.CoM): Another DeFi protocol has been hacked! Security team SlowMist ( today ) issued a warning on the X platform, indicating that the DeFi platform Credix suffered a hacker attack, resulting in losses of up to $4.5 million.
According to information disclosed by Slow Fog, Credix's multi-signature wallet added a hacker as an administrator and bridge operator through ACL Manager at the end of ( six days ago. This operation granted the hacker critical permissions, allowing them to mint collateral tokens for themselves directly in the liquidity pool as a bridge operator.
Through this method, the Hacker quickly borrowed a large amount of assets, nearly exhausting Credix's funding pool, resulting in severe losses.
In addition, another security team, Cyvers Alerts, revealed a suspicious lead on the X platform: "An address receiving funds from the cryptocurrency mixer Tornado Cash transferred assets to the Solana network and borrowed $2.64 million on the Credix platform, then bridged those funds back to Ethereum: Our system detected multiple suspicious transactions involving Credix on the Sonic network. An address funded by Tornado Cash through the Ethereum network bridged funds to the Sonic network and borrowed approximately $2.64 million from Credix. Most of these funds have been bridged back to the ETH network, and no further movements have been observed at this time."
Officially Confirmed Hacked
Regarding this incident, Credix officially confirmed around 5 PM today through the X platform that they were hacked and stated that emergency measures have been taken to protect user assets: the website has been disabled to prevent user deposits. Please use the contract for withdrawal operations.
In addition, the official statement continued to add that all users' funds will be fully restored within 24 to 48 hours.
