Jin10 data, March 27, reports that Barclays' month-end model shows strong demand for the US dollar against all major currencies, while the quarter-end model indicates a moderate strengthening of the dollar at the end of the first quarter. Both models use the same framework, and the latter also predicts strong demand for the dollar against the euro at the quarter-end. Relative to the euro, we have seen the dollar perform well over the past week, but this month, the euro has still risen nearly 4% against the dollar.
