A non-profit organization in the United States is calling for government officials to investigate Trump's promotion of memecoin.

PANews news on February 6th, according to Cointelegraph, US consumer advocacy organization Public Citizen has called on US government officials to investigate Trump's promotion of his memecoin on social media. On February 5th, a civic organization wrote to John Keller, head of the Public Integrity Section of the US Department of Justice, and David Whitman, Director of the Office of Government Ethics (OGE), accusing Trump of accepting gifts during his presidency, in violation of the law. The organization urged officials to investigate TRUMP memecoin and whether foreign government actors may have purchased the token.
