The Baltic Dry Index continued its decline on Thursday, reaching a 23-month low, affected by the weakening freight rates of various ship types. The Baltic Dry Index fell 69 points to 824, the lowest level since February 2023. The Capesize Index dropped 155 points to a five-week low of 1081. Capesize daily earnings decreased by $1285 to $8967. The Panamax Index slid 39 points to 804, the lowest level since June 2020. Panamax daily earnings decreased by $346 to $7239. The Supramax Index fell 20 points to 654, reaching the lowest level since February 2023.
