German think tank calls for the new government to formulate a pragmatic trade policy

On January 23rd, Jinshi Data reported that the German think tank IfW Kiel called for the new German government and the European Union to adopt a more pragmatic and success-oriented approach when formulating trade policies to maintain their competitive advantage in the global competition. Sandra Flach, a trade policy expert at IfW Kiel, said in a statement that the global trade landscape has undergone profound changes, and if Europe wants to continue to play an important role on the global stage, it must recognize the new geopolitical reality and be more flexible and pragmatic in trade agreement negotiations.
