Jinshi data news on January 15th, three people familiar with the latest fiscal estimates said that Japan may not be able to achieve its goal of a basic budget surplus in the next fiscal year, as the minority government faces increasing spending pressures. The latest estimates to be announced this week overturn the government's forecast last July to achieve a basic budget surplus starting in April of this year.
