SEC: Former CEO Shan Hanes of Heartland Tri-State Bank in Kansas Future Prohibited from Participating in Banking Industry

BlockBeats news, on November 22, according to official sources, the SEC will prohibit Shan Hanes, former CEO of Heartland Tri-State Bank in Kansas, from participating in the banking industry in the future. BlockBeats previously reported that Shan Hanes was sentenced to 293 months of federal imprisonment for an alleged $47 million cryptocurrency fraud case. Court documents show that Hanes executed 11 unauthorized wire transfers between May and July 2023, transferring $47.1 million of the bank's funds to a cryptocurrency wallet, which was related to a Ponzi scheme eyewash. This eyewash ultimately led to the collapse of Heartland Tri-State Bank.
