The post-disaster cleanup work in each state is underway, and the number of deaths is expected to rise. North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper said that the impact of Hurricane 'Helen' on the state is catastrophic, and it will take months to repair all roads in the western end of the state. Food and water are being airlifted to the affected areas.
