On June 12, the Gnosis DAO proposal to allocate 8,000 GNO to fund the USDC incentive program began voting. The proposal states that the USDC token on the Gnosis chain (currently bridged from Ethereum via the Gnosis Bridge) does not comply with the Bridge token standard set by Circle in November 2023. Circle will take over the token and convert it to native USDC on the Gnosis Chain, and suggests creating an incentive program of up to 8,000 GNO. The program will run until USDC is natively issued on Gnosis.
