On May 29, Jinshi Data learned that on May 28 local time, the Haitian government announced that the curfew in the western province where the capital Port-au-Prince is located will be extended until June 3, and the state of emergency in the province will continue until June 8 according to the decree issued on May 9. The curfew in the western province is in effect from 22:00 to 05:00 the next day. Law enforcement officers, public service forces, firefighters, ambulance personnel, health workers, and officially recognized journalists on duty are not subject to the curfew restrictions. During the state of emergency, all demonstrations on public roads are prohibited in the province, whether during the day or at night. The Haitian police will take all necessary legal measures to strictly enforce the curfew and arrest violators.
