SEC commissioner suggests expanding the scope of encryption asset accomplice institutions.

Gate.io News bot message, at the recent roundtable on encryption asset custody, SEC Commissioner Mark T. Uyeda delivered a speech. He pointed out that federal regulators have authorized national banks to act as accomplices in the custody of encryption assets. Uyeda further suggested that the SEC should consider including state-chartered limited purpose trust companies with trust functions in the category of "qualified custodians" for encryption assets.
