Ika and Encrypt Head to Solana to Build Bridgeless and Encrypted Capital Markets - Crypto Economy

Ika arrives on Solana with a proposal to eliminate bridges as the mechanism for moving assets between blockchains. The core technology is dWallets, programmable multi-chain accounts that allow Solana users to control assets on any network without trusted intermediaries. The underlying mechanism is 2PC-MPC, a distributed signing scheme between the user and Ika’s decentralized network that removes dependence on centralized custodians or synthetic wrappers.

The problem that Ika aims to solve is structural. Today, assets non-native to Solana — such as Bitcoin, RWAs, or stablecoins issued on other networks — reach the ecosystem through bridges that fragment liquidity and create third-party dependencies. With dWallets, those assets can be held, traded, and used financially on Solana directly. A DEX on Solana could operate with native assets from any chain, a lending protocol could accept collateral from any network, and a multisig could custody assets from multiple blockchains through a single interface.

Ika: A New Control Layer for AI Agents

dWallets will also be significant for artificial intelligence agents. Instead of granting an agent a direct private key, a program on Solana can define and enforce policies over how that agent operates assets across different chains. Since signing is coordinated through Ika’s 2PC-MPC design, the agent never controls a private key autonomously and every action remains subject to decentralized policies.

On the other hand, Encrypt introduced a complementary primitive: Fully Homomorphic Encryption. FHE allows performing computations directly on encrypted data without needing to decrypt it, enabling the creation of financial applications where balances, positions, and orders remain confidential during onchain execution. Its use cases include hidden-intent trading, sealed auctions, private prediction markets, and lending systems with confidential positions.

Solana as Institutional Infrastructure

Both projects share a common objective: removing the complexities that currently limit institutional participation in public blockchains. Ika eliminates liquidity fragmentation between chains.
