To support users in establishing a secure and compliant connection between BitGo and Gate, this document provides the standard operating procedure (SOP) for binding a Gate account to BitGo.
This process is intended for institutional or corporate users who have completed the required identity verification. Through a dedicated binding mechanism, the integration enables secure system connectivity and account association between both platforms.
Once completed, users will be able to securely manage assets and permissions related to their Gate account via the BitGo platform, improving both operational efficiency and fund security.
Please follow the steps below carefully to ensure a smooth account preparation and binding process.
1.Register a Gate main account and complete K YC / K Y B verification .
- Please make sure not to deposit anything into the newly created main account.
- The balance needs to be 0.
- KYC / KYB verification is required for bitgo binding.
2.Gate will generate and provide a dedicated binding token . (Note: This token is only used to bind the Gate account. Once the binding process is finished, this token is not useful anymore. Please contact your api support for this token)
3.Log in to the BitGo platform and follow these steps:
- Navigate to Allocate → Connections → Add Connection → Gate
- Enter the binding token , BitGo account credentials, and wallet password
- Submit the binding request
- Gate will validate the request by checking:
- Whether the main account is valid (KYB past)
- Whether the account balance is zero Once verified, the binding will be completed.
- After successful binding:
- The token cannot be reused to bind any other BitGo account
- Subsequent allocation / settlement / de-allocation are not related to the token
