CoinWorld Network news: Pi Network has confirmed that it will sponsor the 2026 Consensus Conference in Miami from May 5 to 7. Co-founders Dr. Fan Chengdiao and Nicolas Kokkalis will attend as guest speakers, marking the project’s important debut in the mainstream industry. The event is expected to attract more than 20,000 attendees, including institutional investors, developers, and government representatives. On April 28, the Pi core team said that more than 1 million users have completed 526 million KYC verification tasks. Dr. Fan’s talk will explore the intersection between verified identities and the AI era, while Kokkalis will take part in discussions on how to distinguish real users from AI-generated accounts. The conference coincides with the launch of Pi’s Protocol 23 smart contracts on May 11, which is expected to lay the foundation for Pi’s transition from a mobile mining network to a programmable blockchain.
