CME Group's March cryptocurrency contract daily average trading volume increased by 19%, with a notional value of $7.98 billion.

Mars Finance reports that the derivatives market—Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group (CME Group)—announced that the average daily trading volume for March crypto contracts reached 210,000 contracts, with a notional value of $7.98 billion, up 19%. Of that, the average daily contract trading volume for micro Bitcoin futures rose 6% to 770 million contracts. Ethereum futures’ average daily contract volume increased 53% to 19,000 contracts. In addition, the overall contracts on the CME Group platform saw an average daily trading volume of 41.10 million contracts in March, setting a monthly record and up 33% year over year. In the first quarter, the average daily trading volume reached 36.20 million contracts, setting a quarterly record and up 22%.
