Former SEC Chairman: No regrets about the previous strict regulation, always committed to protecting investors.

On September 19, former SEC Chairman Gary Gensler said in an interview with CNBC that he has "no regrets" about his experience as Wall Street's top regulator, even though the SEC is rapidly dismantling his policies, and the crypto community is "ecstatic" about his departure. Gary Gensler stated, "I am very proud of the achievements we made; I was sworn in and led an enforcement agency that has always been committed to protecting investors." CNBC pointed out that under the leadership of new Chairman Paul Atkins, the U.S. crypto industry is suddenly filled with innovation, leadership, and capital, and Gary Gensler remains unfazed, dismissing the accolades received by his successor, insisting that, aside from Bitcoin, most of the crypto industry is still on a speculative rollercoaster, disconnected from fundamentals and highly speculative. After leaving the SEC in January, he returned to MIT, where he is a professor of practice in global economics and management, researching and teaching AI, fintech, and public policy.
