U.S. Senator Warren inquired with the Department of Justice about Binance's compliance with the 2023 settlement agreement details.

Foresight News reports that U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren is pressuring the Department of Justice, inquiring whether the world's largest crypto assets exchange, Binance Holdings Ltd., is complying with the 2023 agreement with federal prosecutors regarding money laundering and sanctions violations, seeking confirmation from the DOJ on whether Binance is adhering to the "ongoing requirements" in the settlement. A copy of the letter seen by Bloomberg News indicates that the senators are also seeking details about the interactions between Binance and Trump administration officials. According to the agreement reached between Binance and the U.S. government at the end of 2023, Binance agreed to pay $4.3 billion and accept other penalties. Bloomberg reported this week that prosecutors are considering whether to allow the exchange to lift the compliance oversight mandated by the agreement.
