Why Ongoing Zcash (ZEC) Pump Could Be Bigger Than XRP’s: Analyst Predicts 20x Spike

Most people didn’t see ZEC spike coming. The privacy coin, which has been around for almost a decade, has suddenly come alive. Since late September, the Zcash price has surged nearly 1000%, marking one of its strongest rallies in years.

A crypto commentator on X with over 23 thousand followers believes this might just be the beginning of ZEC rally. He argues that Zcash is not a random meme pump, but a rally built on years of quiet accumulation, strong fundamentals, and deep demand waiting to explode.

According to Guy, what’s happening with the Zcash token is closer to what XRP experienced during its massive bull run. XRP once added about $150B in market cap in only two months, but Guy says ZEC could do even better. He explains that while many think privacy coins are outdated, the reality is shifting fast.

For years, ZEC was ignored because of regulatory fears and declining interest in privacy-focused projects. Now, with the global conversation around data privacy heating up again, the ZEC token is finding new life. It has also built a solid reputation over nearly a decade, something most new projects can’t claim.

Guy points out that ZEC’s setup looks a lot like XRP before its breakout, low supply on exchanges, loyal holders, and hidden demand that could erupt once market sentiment changes.

Comparing ZEC Price to XRP Price Momentum

In his view, ZEC’s advantage lies in its structure. Ripple holds about half of all XRP, which gave it early liquidity but now limits long-term upside since those tokens keep entering circulation. ZEC, on the other hand, is proof-of-work distributed. That gives it a more decentralized supply and better optics for becoming a global store of value.

Guy even argues that as the ZEC price rises, the privacy set grows stronger. That means each token becomes part of a larger anonymity pool, making the network safer and more valuable for users. XRP doesn’t benefit from price appreciation in the same way.

Why ZEC Could Outperform XRP in the Long Run

Guy highlights three main reasons ZEC might see a bigger pump than XRP. First, the latent demand for the Zcash token is larger. He says many users who once turned to XRP for discreet transactions could move to ZEC because it offers much stronger privacy.

Second, the ZEC token’s proof-of-work distribution makes it more legitimate as a decentralized asset. This appeals not only to retail investors but also to those seeking long-term sovereignty over their funds.

Third, Zcash has a smaller market cap around $9.5B leaving more room for growth compared to XRP’s much larger valuation. That lower base means even moderate demand can send the ZEC price soaring.

Zcash’s team also holds historical weight in crypto.
