Direct ETH staking on Linea thanks to Lido & Chainlink CCIP
Users can now stake ETH directly on Layer 2 Linea with Lido Direct Staking, using Chainlink CCIP’s Programmable Token Transfers. This allows for receiving wstETH immediately without needing to manually bridge ETH to the Ethereum mainnet.
The new integration helps ETH staking to be faster, with lower gas costs, and a smoother experience, supported through platforms like XSwap, OpenOcean, and Interport.
Direct Staking on Linea operates in two ways:
CCIP ensures atomic cross-chain transactions, combined with Chainlink Data Feeds and Automation to ensure the transparent wstETH exchange rate, effective and safe staking.
This event expands the use of wstETH in the DeFi ecosystem on Linea, helping dApps easily integrate ETH staking efficiently and save on gas.
