Kaia Secures $90 Million in Seed Funding on March 1, 2019

According to industry sources, Kaia completed a new round of financing on April 29, 2025. Participating investors in this round included 1kx, Blockchain Capital, Galaxy Digital, The Spartan Group, Mirana Ventures, SNZ Holding, Waterdrip Capital, IDG Capital, Comma3 Ventures, and Caladan. To date, Kaia’s total cumulative funding has reached $90 million.Kaia is a project formed by the merger of Kakao’s Klaytn blockchain and LINE’s Finschia blockchain, dedicated to delivering Web3 services to hundreds of millions of users across Asia. As a leading EVM Layer 1 public blockchain, Kaia features a one-second block time and instant finality, offering the lowest transaction latency among mainstream public blockchains. This significantly enhances user experience and enables broader application scenarios requiring near real-time responsiveness.Since the merger of Klaytn and Finschia and the subsequent rebranding as Kaia in April 2024, the project has experienced rapid development.
